welcome 2 the 23rd antrim scouts home page!!!
this is just the introductory page! on this page im gonna tell u how many scouts we have, all about us, the ages, the leaders & all about them and all the cool things we do in our troop, our region or just in scouts world wide!!! |
the formation of a unit!!!
to join you must be aged between 10 1/2 - 16... then u go onto venturers! b4 scouts is cubs (8-10 1/2) and b4 cubs is beavers (6-8)!!! in each section u do lots of different things and u can also work towards merit badges... they are rely useful because they teach you things and they do have a great level of importance in life... they are mini-achievements!!! beavers have paw badges, cubs have red merit badges and scouts have green merit badges!!! SCOUTS IS FUN FOR ALL AGES!!! and if you're too old to be in a section you can always become a leader... YAY! |
the scouts!!!
ok... ther r roughly 30 scouts in our unit... the youngest is prob fiona, the oldest is mark or lee, the smallest is siskey and the tallest is david!!! we all get along really really well and there are'nt really set friendship groups cause we all 1 big happy family!!! we take part in lots of different activities, camps, e.t.c. like... the columbanus shield which we came 3rd in congradulations to us!!! our team was... claire (macaroon), david (our wee dee), christopher (siskey), christopher (vernies), mark (miarkus), michael (mickey), simon (simey) and conor (flavys). we also came 1st in our regional quiz congrads again to simey, mickey, siskey and vernies... the same team came 23rd in our national quiz... because we are 23RD!!! we also took part in the 75th anniversery camp for our association which was really fun and we did lots of cool activities!!! we go on lots of different camps and do all sorts of things ... our annual (summer) camp this year is being held in the shre centre, lisnaskea, co. fermanagh!!! |
the leaders!
we have 4 leaders in our scouts section they are... johnny, clare, vera and michael!!! they are really nice, friendly and helpful!!! well let me put it this way without them our scouts wouldnt exist we would just be a whole pile of kids without scouts and that would just be sad!!! THANX GUYS!!!

well 23rd antrim scouts are from a tiny little place called derriaghy... its not actually a place no1 knows what it is! but its in lambeg which is between lisburn and dunmurry (belfast) its closer to lisburn though... but that doesnt matter! and we are on every friday night from 7:30-9:30!!! but we are not just restricted to those 2 hours a week as i said before we do loads of other cool stuff but in those two hours we play games and do lots of other cool stuff! basically we just do lpts of cool stuff cause we are cool people!!! |
